Counselling

At Yellow Door, we are passionate about supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of young people. We offer free one-to-one counselling sessions for anyone aged 11–25, providing a safe, informal space where young people can feel comfortable and at ease. Our service is open to all, regardless of financial or personal circumstances, and aims to help with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, stress, bereavement, identity, relationships, trauma, bullying, and more. Although we try to offer support as quickly as possible, high demand may sometimes mean a short wait.

Counselling at Yellow Door gives young people the chance to explore their feelings, make positive choices, and understand past experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Our counsellors are there to listen and guide rather than offer advice, helping clients find their own answers and build resilience. We offer an initial block of six sessions, with the option to extend based on individual needs, making sure support is available for as long as it’s needed.
