FAQ
Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we’re able to keep our services free, accessible, and open to everyone who needs them. If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to have you involved!
How can I help?
We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us across a range of areas, including fundraising, social media, events, gardening, maintenance, counselling, and administration.
We also welcome volunteers to get involved in our youth clubs, whether that’s through sports, cooking, arts and crafts, playing games, or simply lending a listening ear and being there for young people.

How much time will I have to commit to?
Whether you have a little time or a lot, we’d love to hear from you! What matters most is being able to give some regular, consistent time, so you can build relationships and become a familiar, trusted face for the young people we support.
Is there an age limit for volunteers?
Our adult volunteer opportunities are open to anyone aged 18 and over.
If you’re under 18, we also run a Young Volunteers group alongside the Essex Youth Service, giving young people the opportunity to get involved, gain experience and make a difference.
We can also occasionally accept Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) volunteers. If you’re interested, please get in touch, and we’d be happy to chat about the opportunities available for under-18s.
Will I get training for the role?
Yes, training and support is given throughout your volunteering with us.
