Youth Club’s

Our clubs and activities are for young people aged 11 to 18 and take place at Yellow Door Youth Hub unless otherwise stated. They run every week during term time, with special Holiday Clubs during school breaks.

Friday Youth Club

Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Our Friday Youth Club offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where young people can hang out, take part in games, pool, PlayStation, arts and crafts, and sports. Youth workers are on hand for informal chats around topics like relationships, mental health, and wellbeing.

Sports Club

Friday from 4:00 to 5:30pm at Waterside Leisure Centre. Sports Club offers a range of fun, active sessions including team games and multi-sports. It’s a great way to stay fit, make new friends, and build confidence through physical activity.

Meet at reception in Waterside Leisure Centre, Sommes Avenue, Canvey. 

Next Level (Performing Arts)

Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Next Level is open to young people aged 11 to 18. Through singing, dancing, and acting, members build creative skills, self-confidence, and self-expression while having fun and working together on exciting performances.

Roots & Shoots Gardening Club

Mondays from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Our Gardening Club offers young people the chance to get outdoors, learn how to grow plants, and take part in hands-on gardening projects. The club promotes wellbeing, teamwork, and environmental awareness in a fun and relaxed setting.

Roots & Shoots has finished for the Winter and will start again in Feburary.

Soundwaves (Music Mentoring) 

Music Mentoring is a vibrant, creative space where young people explore music technology and production. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a budding musician, one to one coaching encourages expression through experimentation, and performance.

Castle Point Young Volunteers

Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00pm, meeting fortnightly. A fun way to get involved in your community, meet new people, and build useful skills for the future. By giving your time, you can work on projects like fundraising events, community clean-ups, and helping out at Yellow Door, all while earning bronze, silver, gold, or platinum awards for your volunteering hours. Make a difference, gain confidence, and try new experiences with others.

Mondays from 4:30 to 6:00pm. For those you enjoy singing, supported by Essex Music Hub and Bar’n’Bus.
