My passion, My self. An Art Exhibition by Young People (11–25)

Entry Process

If you would like a chance to see your work displayed, follow our three simple steps:

1 Register your interest

Fill out the form below to register your interest in providing pieces for the exhibit. Entries are capped at 5 per person.

Once you have registered your interest, you must submit your artwork by the deadline (5th of December 2025). We cannot accept any late submissions.

2 Enter the details about the work and email us images of your artwork.

Please email any pictures of your artwork(s) with your first name, surname, and the name of the piece(s) to info@cyp-yellowdoor.org.uk

3 Provide details about yourself, what creating means to you, and what services you have attended or are attending at Yellow Door.

If you are between the ages of 11-25, are enjoy being creative, we would love to showcase your work. Any art form is welcome.

What happens next?

The first round of selection is made from digital images of artworks, from which we will shortlist the entries.

If you are successful, we will notify you by email and ask you to deliver your artwork to Yellow Door.

The date of the exhibition is planned for the 13th-14th of December. Time and location TBD.

Overview These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for taking part in the Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door Art Exhibition (“My Passion, My self.”) By submitting artwork or participating, you agree to these terms. 2. Eligibility Open to young people aged 11–25. Participants under 16 must have permission from a parent or guardian. There is no cost to enter artwork into the Exhibition. 3. Artwork Requirements Artwork must have been created by the young person submitting it. AI-generated art will not be accepted. No offensive, discriminatory, or unsafe content. Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door may refuse to display artwork that doesn’t align with its safeguarding or equality values. 4. Ownership & Use Artists retain full ownership of their artwork. Artwork will not be sold without the artist’s permission. By submitting artwork, you give Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door permission to display it at the Exhibition and to use photos or images of it (and of participants) for publicity, social media, and reports related to the charity’s work. This permission is non-exclusive, royalty-free, and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door. 5. Artwork Return and Collection If you want your artwork returned after the exhibition, it must be collected by the artist or a parent/caregiver from Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door before 9 January 2026. Artwork cannot be returned by post or delivered by Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door staff. Artwork not collected by the deadline, or artwork that the artist no longer wants returned, may be responsibly disposed of by Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door. 6. Liability While Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door takes care in displaying and handling artwork, it cannot accept responsibility for accidental damage or loss. Participation is at your own risk. 7. Safeguarding & Behaviour Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment for all. Participants and guests must behave respectfully toward others and follow venue rules. 8. Changes or Cancellation Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door reserves the right to change exhibition dates, venue, or arrangements if needed, but will give reasonable notice. 9. I consent to have Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door store my submitted information, for my or my young person’s artwork to be in the exhibit, and I have read, understood, and accept the Data & Privacy Information provided below. Forms will be kept in a locked cabinet and electronically. Data will be kept confidential in line with UK GDPR. We will use your information: • To contact you and or your young person about their submission and exhibition. • To credit the young person, their first name, age, information about their artwork(s), and answers given to the question “What does being creative and making art mean to you?” will be used and placed under their artwork during the exhibit. • To let you and your child know about other Canvey Island Youth Project – Yellow Door clubs and activities. • To let you know about any fundraising events we may be holding. The only other time we will share your information or your child’s will be when we are obligated to do so by law, e.g., for safeguarding, or when you give us specific permission.
